Christmas
As we near Christmas Break, I am getting more and more excited! The reason? A Trip To California! I'm heading back to the home of my childhood. From the lush, green landscape to the blue oceans, it is the most beautiful place in the world! It also has the most things to do, and the one I'm going to do is Six Flags Magic Mountain. It is pretty much the craziest, most extreme theme park in the world! I'm going to do some shopping down there and get as many souvenirs as I can, while still managing to get some X-mas presents for the rest of you people. We are getting a break from swim meets as well, but we're trying to find a pool I can swim in while down there. We only have 3 or 4 meets left until Regionals! How this season has gone by so fast, I do not know! I am still not yet a state contender, but I'm trying my hardest to get there. I'm still doing well in school gradewise, but we wont' go into that too much. Everyone have a Merry Christmas!

Weekend Thrills!
I have had a really exciting weekend! I kicked it off with a swim meet on November 20th. It was the Murray Thanksgiving Invitational, which is a really long, obnoxious meet. It does not function very well and that results in you not knowing what heat and lane you are swimming in until just before you race! I am not feeling my best right now so I didn't expect to drop too much time, but I was determined to swim my best. I was swimming the 100 fly, 100 back, and 200 free. Even though the 100 fly was only the 3rd event, it took 3 1/2 hours to for me to swim! I dropped another 1/2 a second off of the 100 fly, which puts me at a 1:03.33. I dropped time which meant we would be going to Crown Burgers afterwards! Then I swam the 100 back and gained 3 seconds! But I finished it strong with an 8 second time drop in the 200 free.
This morning I woke up at 7:00 and got ready to run a 5k! I was feeling even worse today then I did yesterday, but I decided I was well enough to run. It was extremely cold this morning and we didn't get started on time. By the time we had started, my feet had practically gone numb, so the first couple minutes of the 5k was tough on my feet. The last 5k I was at, I ran the entire thing right next to Stephanie Peeples, so I presumed it would happen again today, but unfortunately, I was feeling pretty good and moving pretty fast and left her behind early. I came in 5th and turned in a 20 minute 20 seconds 5k, which is pretty good for having a nose full of snot! After feeling like I was going to cough up a lung, me and my dad jetted over past Saratoga Springs to do some skeet shooting with my Teacher's Quorum. It was even colder out there than it was at the 5k and to make matters worse I didn't even hit anything! But we stopped at Costco on the way home and had pizza so it was pretty good. And that was my super awesome weekend!

1st Swim Meet of the 2009-2010 season!
Well I have already had a couple meets, but It's never too late to tell you all what I've done.
Our first meet was AF/LP/PG or American Fork against Lone Peak and Pleasant Grove. At that meet I swam the 100 Fly, the 100 Back, and the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. Now this is my first meet so you better believe I was pumped and ready to go! I had never swam the 100 Fly before, but I was determined to give it my all. For those of you who are not familiar with the order of events, it goes as follows: 200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle, 200 Individual Medley, 50 Freestyle, 100 Fly, 100 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle Relay, 100 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke, and finishes with the 400 Freestyle Relay. I had a lot of rest before my events started, so the tension just kept building up! I got ready to go and dove in! I produced an amazing time of 1:04, which is incredible for the first time swimming it. I couldn't get cocky though, I had to keep my cool. After waiting half an hour for the 500s to get done, I met up with my relay team for the 200 free relay and I was anchoring the team. We were the B team, but we put up an impressive score, Including my split of 26 seconds! I quickly got ready for the 100 back, which I had swam many times last year. I swam it this time in 1:09. But the best has been saved for last, which is the 400 freestyle relay! I have never had the pleasure of being on this elite relay! I was on the B team, which is one step closer to the A team, and once again I was anchoring the relay! I swam my split in an unbelievable 59 seconds! This is an important milestone in every swimmer's life. To bust through the 1 minute barrier is such a great feeling! I even think I scared my coach with my victory yell. It was an amazing first meet!

The start of Blogging
Well after much consideration, I have decided to start a blog for all of those people who just love me and my life! Just kidding! I am not that self-centered. This blog is mostly for those who would like to follow me, my swimming career, my life, and anything else I happen to post on here! I will talk about my swim meets, my current times, my time goals, my goals overall, all that good stuff. I will talk about vacations, trips, camp-outs, all that good stuff as well. There is a lot to know about me and a lot of stuff that I do so I doubt you will get bored reading the things that I will blog about.
